Hollace turns TWO. Happy Birthday!
I can't believe she is two already. Where did the time go?
She had a small party with one set of grandparents in attendance last weekend. RAW's parents were suppose to come up but didn't. It is hard to plan a winter birthday. Hollace was excited to have company when my parents and grama arrived (btw, it was both my mom's and grama's birthday that day--Hollace was just shy 4 days of being born on their birthday). She quickly piled grama up with stuff that she just had to show her. The night before I bought Hollace a new dress for her birthday. It cost a whoping $4 but as I was getting ready to buy it, a jar of peppers I was also buying (at the Super K) broke open and splashed the dress with pepper juice. I didn't care, it was the only dress like it so I just took it home and washed it like I was going to do anyway. She is wearing the dress in her pictures
We made Italian Beef in the crockpot which RAW claims is the best Italian Beef he has ever had. I also made a cake. I forgot that our oven is not level so the cake was lopsided and burnt on one edge. The last cake I made in that oven was last years birthday cake which I made twice cause it turned out so bad. I just cut off the bad part, it tasted good anyway.
Hollace didn't try any of her cake or icecream as she says for any food she doesn't want to eat "yicky". She did try to eat a candle though.
She got lots of new toys and some new outfits even though Christmas was only 6 weeks ago. I had to watch myself cause I kept finding things that I forgot I wanted to get her for Christmas.
- After opening a birthday card she got in the mail, instead of showing me the pretty card, she came up and showed me the dollar that was enclosed and said "I gotta dolla!" When did she learn about money anyway? She knows that change goes in her piggy but she apparently knows about paper money too
- I can't keep up with all the new words she knows and uses. I am surprised she can tell the difference between Sunshine in the sky and Sunshine the neighbor's dog and calls them both Sunshine.
- If you have a boo-boo, it is Hollace to the rescue. She will kiss whatever ails you. Of course she has her fair share of boo-boos herself, it is amazing the power of a kiss. All better now.
A work in progress
It has been a year now that I have been on my new eating plan. I have lost nearly 80 pounds and 49" from all around. That translates to about 9" from my waist, 10" from my hips and 7" from around both thighs. I still have 45 lbs. to go and while I haven't really seen the scale go down in a couple months, I will get there evidentually. I made it through the holidays without gaining any weight but I am now paying for that by not losing any either. I am still losing inches though and just went down a size in clothes. Not to bad for losing no weight.
If you haven't already, go here to see a before and nearly after picture of me. This summer I will recreate that before picture for a real comparison.
