Hollace News
New words
Hollace has a few words now. She says Thank You, Uh oh, Hi, Cat and Daddy, that we know of right now. She hasn't really said Mama yet. Sherry swears that she does, but I don't hear it.
This weekend
Today's facination was with doors. She would go into a room then close the door. I would knock and she would open it to see me (not to let me in). She would then shut the door and start all over again. At one point in the game she did get her fingers pinched by the hinges. That pretty much ended the game for today.
Another thing she started this weekend is where she would stop walking and start spinning in place to get dizzy then try to walk. I tried to capture that on video but of course the very act of getting the camera out distracted her.
About her new pictures
Last Sunday we as a little family went to Morton Arboretum with the full of intent to plop Hollace into a field of daffodils to take lots of pictures. I did take lots of pictures, about 80 of them. For the most part they turned out well, I was just hoping to have more than 7 that I really liked. I couldn't get the girl to look up so I have lots of pictures of her looking wistfully into the flowers. I still need to work with her as my little model.
Check out pictures of Hollace's cousin Emma.
I have these posted under my family page. Do they look related?
Hollaces new fear of the bath
This makes us real sad because she use to love the bath. I hope she gets over it soon.
It started a couple of weeks ago while visiting her paternal grandparents. We were giving her a bath when the shower head came crashing down nearly hitting Hollace's in the face. Needless to say the bath ended right then.
About that same time she got either a bad case of diaper rash or a yeast infection that made her bottom sore. When we got her home to take a bath she freaked out.
Still, as of tonight she just screams and crys when we try to put her in the tub. Tonight daddy got in the tub first, didn't matter, same result. She has no problem going in the tub fully clothed with no water so I don't think it was that shower head that traumatized her but her sore bottom. We will call the doctor on Monday to get her checked out.
