It was a nice day and I didn't know what I should do for lunch. I finally decided to grab an Arby turkey ranch and bacon sandwich and a glass of ice water and headed out to the forest preserve by work.
The 17 year cicadas are coming this year and though I thought it was kind of early they were a chirping away that day.
Then my attention went to the knot on the picnic table and for some reason I poured my ice near it to watch it glisten in the sun. I had to take a picture of it. Then again later after the ice melted. Then this diptych was born.
I was just hanging out wasting time before having to get back to work. It was good.
