What a perfect day to fly a kite! The temperatures were mid 80s with a stiff breeze. I bought this kite a year ago and for some reason it sat in the back of my car for that long. I decided it was finally time to get it out and fly it.
Hollace was reluctant. She was under the impression that flying a kite is a one time shot with the final outcome stuck up in a tree. Hollace didn't want that fate for this kite so it was safer in the back of my car.
The wind was good but maybe a bit inconsistant. We could never get the thing up very far or for very long. The kite package said it was rated for wind speeds of between 5-17 mph and I would say it was 20-25 so hey maybe that is why it wouldn't fly so great ;-)
I am happy to report that the kite did come down safely and we put it away for another windy warm day. I can't say the same thing about the numerous other kites I seen in trees on my way to work this morning though.
