This picture was taken at Illinois Beach State Park. There were 5 doe all rooting around the abandoned picnic area looking for eats. I have lots of blurry shots of these gal as the light was getting low. For a while I couldn't figure out how to fix it so I wouldn't get motion blur then it occured to me to shoot them at ISO 1600. This new camera shoots pretty noiseless even at that sensitivity. I think it looks far less than the grain you would get with comparable film.
That said I did run this picture through Noise Ninja which I am trying out for the first time (thank you fellow photobloggers for turning me onto this nifty tool). I quickly ran out to purchase only to realize I could use the beta Photoshop plug in for free until December 7th. Oh well I now have the stand alone version purchased.
