While camping at Starved Rock Illinois this past weekend we stopped into town to find a grocery store. Last spring the town of Utica was hit with a devastating tornado that killed 8 people seeking shelter in a bar. There was no mistaking where that bar was as it is now an empty lot with 8 crosses on it. Very sad. The image above was taken half a block away from the devastation. Everything in that alley was so colorful.
Here is where the people died. You can see the houses in the background sustained some damage as well.
